The eyewear company Luxottica Group has renewed itself prematurely for its exclusive licensing agreements with the Italian luxury houses Dolce and Gabbana and Versace. Luxottica Group S.p.A. and Versace Group jointly announced the signing of a global licensing agreement for the design, production and distribution of Versace Sunglasses, Versus and Versace Sport and prescription frames. Paris, France, Milan, Italy, 22 October 2019 – CHANEL and Luxottica Group today announced the early renewal of an exclusive licensing agreement for the development, production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and recipe frames under the CHANEL brand. The five-year contract will come into effect on January 1, 2020 and expire on December 31, 2024, with the possibility of an extension for a period of three years (January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027). The three-year renewal will take effect on January 1, 2021, immediately after the expiry of the existing contract, and expire on December 31, 2023.
